An amenity is a service centre in your authority, such as toilets, libraries and register offices, and these are grouped into types.
A service incident marks a point in time and space when your authority provided a service for someone, such as dumped waste, library rentals and pest control complaints.
Before mapping amenities, you will need to know which type of amenity you'd like to add.

OpenStreetMap is a map of the world, created by people anywhere and free to use under an open licence.

Incentive scheme

The local government open data incentive scheme has now ended as of 31 March 2015, therefore authorities are unable to submit data in order to receive a grant.

Metric types and data

Though it's not currently possible, we are looking at ways to develop this feature and enable authorities to upload their own data and compare it to other datasets.
There's a couple of reasons why you might see 'no value' in a report or in place of a text token.
If you're wondering where our data comes from, how we create our metric types and how we show data for different areas, read on.
We keep our data as up-to-date as possible.
We’re always looking to improve the toolkit and would love to hear about useful datasets. If you know of one that you use often or would be a welcome addition, please don’t hesitate to let us know.
A metric is anything that can be measured, e.g. the population size, road accidents, GCSE results, and council spending
