Adding components

Components display data in a variety of ways: simple text, tables, bar charts, pie charts, and maps.

All you need to get going is a metric type to display and an idea about how best to show it.

  1. Visit the My Reports section and click 'edit' next to a report.
  2. Choose a component type from the menu on the right-hand side.
  3. Find a metric type by typing keywords, e.g. population, into the 'Choose a metric type' box.
  4. Browse the search list and click a metric type to choose it.
  5. Click ‘Save’.
